Internal Medicine

In today’s modern medicine, despite having branched into many subspecialties in parallel with scientific and technological advancements, Internal Medicine continues to be the primary point of care for the diagnosis and management of all non-surgical complaints in adult patients. When we experience abdominal or chest pain, shortness of breath, fever, weight loss or gain, diarrhea—or in any health-related issue—it is usually the first department we consult.

The Internal Medicine Department covers the diagnosis and treatment of:

  • Upper and lower respiratory tract infections

  • Febrile illnesses

  • Hypertension

  • Diabetes mellitus

  • Thyroid disorders

  • Elevated cholesterol and triglyceride levels

  • Digestive system disorders (gastritis, ulcers, reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, etc.)

  • Liver and gallbladder diseases

  • Pulmonary diseases (chronic bronchitis, emphysema, asthma, etc.)

  • Kidney diseases

  • Anemia and hematologic disorders

  • Early detection of various types of cancer

  • Rheumatic diseases

  • Musculoskeletal disorders
