Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides essential support to all newborns requiring intensive care. With its modern medical equipment and evidence-based practices, the unit aims to reunite babies with their families in the shortest possible time, while also providing families with the necessary education and information resources.
The NICU offers advanced-level care to high-risk newborns starting from 24 weeks of gestation, including those born prematurely, from multiple pregnancies, infants of diabetic mothers, large for gestational age babies, those who have swallowed meconium in the womb, and those with brain or organ damage due to difficult deliveries.
In our NICU, the following interventions are performed:
Respiratory support (ventilator therapy)
Exchange transfusion
Phototherapy (light therapy)
Percutaneous catheter placement (thin central lines inserted from arm or leg veins to the heart)
Total parenteral nutrition (intravenous feeding)
Chest tube insertion (for treatment of pneumothorax)
12 incubators
2 open care beds
1 fully equipped transport incubator with respiratory support
7 ventilators
3 portable phototherapy devices
1 tunnel-type phototherapy device
12 monitors capable of tracking all vital functions
12 bedside systems for oxygen, dry air, and suction
Our NICU also accepts newborns referred from other hospitals. During transport, the intensive care environment is maintained by a dedicated team consisting of 1 Pediatric Specialist and 2 Nurses.
